Thực trạng quản lý hoạt động dạy học môn Tiếng Việt ở các trường tiểu học thành phố Thủ Đức, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh theo hướng phát triển năng lực người học

Abstract

The management of Vietnamese language teaching activities in primary schools focusing on developing learners’ competencies plays an important role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of primary education to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program. This article presents the current Vietnamese language teaching in primary schools in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, toward developing learner competencies. The study was conducted through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with administrators and teachers from seven primary schools in Thu Duc City. Survey data were processed using a five-level scale to calculate percentage values, average scores, and standard deviations. The findings show that although schools in this area have made efforts to innovate and develop the management of Vietnamese language teaching activities with a competency-based approach, existing limitations and shortcomings need to be addressed. These findings serve as a practical basis for proposing solutions to improve the quality of Vietnamese language teaching in primary schools in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, in line with the competency development orientation in the near future.
