Abstract

Knowledge is increasing significantly in the digital age. Students who spend much time on reading will have more opportunities to widen their knowledge and develop in society. This research surveyed 402 students of Can Tho University on their reading habits for learning. The result showed that they preferred reading electronic materials and spent much time on reading for self-learning. In addition, the Pearson Correlation analysis indicated that many factors of family and university were associated with their reading time for learning. These results provided helpful information for lecturers and policymakers developing information resources appropriate to the social development trend. Parents and universities should build favorable learning environments for students’ reading habits.
