Abstract

This article discuses the necessity to foster college students’ patriotism to meet those requirements of promoting the Fatherland building-defending cause, and approaching a sustainable development. Currently, the world and the region are in many very complicated transformations, including maritime sovereignty, the East Sea islands as repeatedly addressed clearly by the Party and the State. Therefore, fostering college students’ patriotism should be  associated with raising their responsibility awareness of protecting the Country’s sacred sea-island sovereignty by measures, specific forms, practical and suitable such as incorporating it in a number of traning courses or extra-curricular activities.
