Binh Thuan College students’ intention to career choice and proposed solutions

Abstract

The article studies the factors influencing the career-choice intentions of students at Binh Thuan College. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used. The survey sample comprised 217 respondents, applying analysis techniques such as Cronbach's Alpha, EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis), Pearson correlation, and multiple regression using SPSS 20 software to test the hypotheses. The results show that five main factors affect career choice decisions. They are school characteristics, personal abilities, information on counseling and enrollment, influences from family and teachers, and admission opportunities. Among these, school characteristics and personal abilities have the strongest impact. Based on the findings, this study proposes practical solutions to enhance the school's reputation and image, improve the quality of vocational education training, and effectively recruit students.
