Abstract

In the current context, information technology plays an indispensable role in the teaching and learning process in general education schools. Therefore, the effective management of information technology applications in teaching has become essential to ensure instructional quality, thus improving the overall effectiveness of school operations. The research focuses on studying the current situation through surveying 112 managers and teachers of 4 secondary schools in Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap Province. The research results show that information technology has been applied in designing teaching plans, organizing teaching, testing and evaluating, supporting students in self-study, and exploiting data. However, management activities still lack consistency, teachers' information technology skills are not uniform, facilities do not meet requirements, and coordination between schools, teachers, and parents is limited; this will be the basis for proposing measures to effectively manage information technology application activities in teaching at secondary schools in this area to meet the educational innovation.
