Abstract

This research was conducted in the context of comprehensive educational reform under Resolution 29-NQ/TW, emphasizing the fundamental task of nurturing and caring children in public preschools for their holistic development. The research aimed to assess this current task in several public preschools in Ho Chi Minh City, and subsequently propose appropriate management solutions. A survey included 84 administrators and teachers at 25 public preschools. The feasibility and necessity of the proposed solutions were tested with 40 individuals, including principals, teachers, and educational management specialists. The results showed that the target task achieved many positive outcomes: 90% of participants highly appreciated the daily activity plan for children; 85% assessed that financial transparency was well implemented; 80% highly rated the work on ensuring hygiene, food safety, and regular health care. However, limitations remain. Only 70% considered the parent-coordination plan reasonable; and the activities of professional teams and the integration of hygiene and nutrition education were not yet effective. Thereby, the study proposes five solutions for managing early childhood education, which are highly regarded for their feasibility and necessity, contributing to improving the quality of childcare and promoting the current process of early childhood education reform.
