Abstract

Local education activities play an important role in shaping the holistic development of primary school students, contributing to the cultivation of love for their homeland, connection with cultural roots, and the development of practical competencies suitable for their living environment. This study aims to examine the current management of local education activities at primary schools in Long Hung Commune, Dong Thap Province. The study employed a sociological survey combined with interviews, using questionnaires designed on a five-point Likert scale, conducted with 115 school administrators and teachers from three primary schools in this commune. The investigation focused on four core management functions: planning, organizing implementation, directing, and monitoring and evaluation; thereby, identifying strengths, limitations, and underlying causes in the management process. The findings provide an important empirical basis for proposing measures to improve management effectiveness and the quality of local education activities for primary school students in this area under the current educational reform.
