Main Article Content
Abstract
This study surveyed 108 international tourists visiting Can Tho city on their motivations of destination choice. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to identify factors affecting these tourists’ decision to choose Can Tho city. The major findings revealed that 7 tourism motivations fall into 4 push factors, namely Escape and adventure, Self-realisation, Rest and relaxation, Mind broadening and relations; and 3 pull factors of Safety, Attraction, Activities and events. Thereby, it suggests 2 solution groups to boost both push and pull factors for attracting more international tourists visiting Can Tho city in the coming years.
