Abstract

The researh result points out the reality of attracting FDI in Vietnam’s real estate market during the 2010-2015 period in terms of size, investors, and regions, which shows the positive aspects of FDI for socio-economic infrastructure, employment for workers, and an increase in the state budget collected; but existing limitations include a regional imbalance in real estate FDI and market segments; thereby the article suggested solutions such as the overall planning of supply and demand in the real estate market, avoiding its speculation and asset bubbles; selecting FDI investors based on the criteria of capital and technology-friendly environment. These solutions ensure the long-term sustainable development for this market in Vietnam.
