Bước đầu tìm hiểu nhân vật “Yêu tinh Tokkebi” trong kho tàng truyện cổ tích Hàn Quốc

Abstract

In recent years, the translation and research of Korean literature in Vietnam has been increasingly attended to and developed by researchers. In this context, we want to contribute to the study of Korean folk literature, and specifically investigating the treasure of Korean fairy tales. Like other countries’ fairy tale treasures around the world, Korean fairy tales not only take us into the world of wonders, but also help discover the unique cultural values of that country. While Vietnamese fairy tales have images of betel and red bibs, which are unique images in Vietnamese culture, those from Korea contain the character "Tokkebi monster" serving as a typical image in its culture. The character is creatively portrayed by unique nuances and becomes one of the eight mysterious mascots of the Korean nation.
