Abstract

Developing skills of designing Vietnamese language lesson plans plays a very important role in training students of Philology Education. In reality, however, this has not obtained sound practices. Consequently, it needs a consistent procedure to develop the target skills for students involved. This procedure should have 6 major phases: providing necessary knowledge of designing Vietnamese language lesson plans; referring to sample lesson plans; developing related sub-skills; designing specific lessons of Vietnamese language; practicing these lesson plans via teaching rehearsal; reflecting and perfecting and then again the procedure with new lesson plans. These phases should be thoroughly and consistently implemented.
