Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing alumni participation behavior in activities at School of Economics, Can Tho University. Based on a comprehensive synthesis of theoretical frameworks and credible empirical research, the proposed research model encompasses four factors: engagement, communication channels, satisfaction, and motivation. They were all hypothesized to influence alumni participation behavior. Primary data were collected from 120 alumni through a convenience sampling. A quantitative research approach was employed, incorporating Cronbach's Alpha reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and multiple linear regression analysis. The research findings reveal that engagement, communication channels, and motivation exert positive and statistically significant effects on alumni participation behavior at the 5% significance level. Furthermore, satisfaction also contributes to explaining this behavior at the 10% significance level. These findings underscore the institutional imperative for universities to develop effective communication strategies, strengthen engagement initiatives, and create opportunities for meaningful participation among alumni.
