Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the current professional group activity management in primary schools in Tan Nhuan Dong commune, Dong Thap province under the general education curriculum reform. The research employs a sociological survey combined with in-depth interviews. A five-point scale questionnaire was administered to 36 school managers and 123 teachers from six primary schools. The collected data were processed using descriptive statistics, mean scores, and ranking according to core management functions. The findings indicate that the management of professional group activities is at a moderate level overall. Key strengths are reflected in goal identification, plan implementation, and the operational role of professional group leaders. However, several notable limitations were identified, including formalistic planning practices, limited adaptability to practical school conditions, and insufficient evaluation, reflective review, and feedback utilization as part of a continuous improvement cycle. The study provides a scientific basis for proposing measures to strengthen planning capacity, enhance feedback mechanisms, and standardize inspection and evaluation procedures in order to improve the quality of professional group activities and instructional effectiveness.
