Abstract

This study analyzes the current management of self-protection skills education activities for children aged 5-6 years at Phu Tho, Sao Vang, Hoa Mi, and Son Ca Preschools in Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Data were collected from 149 respondents, including 28 administrators and 121 preschool teachers, through questionnaires and interviews. A mixed-methods approach of quantitative and qualitative research, together with statistical analysis, was employed to analyze the data. The findings indicate that the target management has received considerable attention from the participating preschools and has achieved positive results. However, several limitations remain in the tasks of planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, evaluating, and ensuring the necessary conditions for implementing these educational activities. The study provides a practical basis for improving the management of self-protection skills education activities for children aged 5-6 years in preschools within the study area.
