Home violence has been seen all over the world. Vietnam is also one of the countries with complicated home violence cases in both urban and rural areas, from families with high incomes and higher education to poor, ill-educated ones. Violence victims are mainly women and children. This paper presents the current violence context and also shows how it affects children’s personality formation. Thereby, it stresses the social work role in preventing and fighting home violence.
