Abstract

Nowadays, total station technology has been applied widely in the field of geodesy and cartography. This paper aims to introduce the application of this technology in mapping the topographic – making plans for upgrading Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province. In addition, external methods (networking, field survey, measurement) and internal ones (data analysis, map-editing) were used for topographic mapping. The product is the current topographic map of Lia 1 (low-income residence) with the scale of 1:1,000. After inspection and assessment, the map meets all current requirements of technical and accuracy standards related by the Government.
