Abstract

In the trend of globalization, the competitiveness between the countries has sharply increased and become more fiercely because this is a decisive component determining the economic prosperity of each country. To achieve high productivity and maintain sustainable productivity growth, every country has to boost its economy based on potential sectors, simultaneously  to enhance its competitive edge through gaining the competitive advantages to higher ranks for the existing industries and develop capacities for the new industries and industrial segments. Thus, the issue of how to improve the efficiency of national human resource and to upgrade the competitiveness of Vietnam in general and of Can Tho city in particular in the process of international economic integration is an urge.
