Abstract

Narrative language is essential for a narrative work, showing the writer's talent. The article examines and points out the features of the narrative language used in children stories by Le Van Nghia. The writer mainly uses the Southern language, but it is mixed with the languages of other regions and ethnic groups, creating Saigon culture diversity. Many school language materials were used to create a realistic picture of the life and activities of students in the South before 1975. In addition, the writer used interlacing the words of the narrator and the words of the character so that the children could express their own thoughts and feelings about friends and worries in life.
