Corporate social responsibility reporting systems: A case study of QUIDAMTUR

Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been widely studied during the last decade and while a lot of current literature is related to CSR in big companies within the hospitality and tourism sector, there is little information regarding CSR reporting system in travel tourism. Moreover, little attempt has been made to develop a model accounting for corporate social responsibility in diverse environments with differing socio-cultural and market settings. Therefore, after having clarified the definitions of CSR and of CSR reporting systems available in Europe, the article concentrates on the analysis of QUIDAMTUR reporting systems for assessing the responsibility of tourism companies. It is a reporting system developed based on the dimensions of economy, environment, culture, and society. The study is a reference for Travel Agents Society and Tour operators to build up CSR reporting system.
