Factors affecting green purchasing behavior at Ho Chi Minh city

Abstract

This research attempted to examine factors affecting green purchasing behavior at Ho Chi Minh City by interviewing 297 consumers. The qualitative (participant interview) and quantitative (linear multiple regressioning) methods were used. The results show that three main factors affecting green purchasing behavior at Ho Chi Minh City of decreasing importance are (1) Green promotion activities, (2) Information sources, and (3) Price of green products. Also, the research reveals some management suggestions for businesses and governmental units to enhance green purchasing behavior.
