Reproductive strategy of Gelam (Melaleuca Cajuputi)

Abstract
Gelam (Melaleuca cajuputi) has blooming phenology in September and October. Flower structure adapts itself to insect pollination. Its pollen has a morphological form: triporate (polar view), average diameter: 41.5 ± 0.63 µm. Pollen viability is low: 48.29% (blooming season) and 41.22% (rare season). Although this species has two reproductive forms (vegetative and sexual), the former is predominant.
