Synthesis and “in vitro” experiment on hydroxyapatite material in simulated body fuild (SBF) solution
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this study, the biomaterial hydroxyapatite (HA) has been successfully synthesized by precipitation method. XRD analysis confirmed that HA synthetic material is virtually like the one commercialized by Aldrich-Sigma Company. SEM analysis showed the HA synthetic material of porous composition. The “in vitro” experiment was conducted by soaking the HA powder in the Simulated Body Fluid (SBF) solution. The physio-chemical analyses showed the non-appearance of strange phase in the composition of the soaked material and confirmed the formation of a new HA layer on its surface, whose chemicals are like those of the inorganic phase in human bone. This new layer serves as a linking bridge between bio-implant and natural bone, by which the disfunctional bone is repaired and modified.
