Abstract

Journalistic ethics has always attracted social attentions at management, education levels and by journalists themselves. Although journalistic ethical standards have been defined in legal normative documents, realities have shown that professional ethic violations by press agencies, reporters and journalists still exist. Sometimes, this stirs up serious problems in journalistic activities, especially in the field of investigative journalism. Thus, this article aims to analyze, demonstrate, and systematize the most fundamental and essential ethical standards of investigative journalism, including 7 important ones. Therefrom, it contributes to consolidating the theoretical system of journalistic ethics and raising journalists’ awareness.
