Abstract

In this research, we examined the effects of light regime and hydrodynamics regime on the productivity of Spirulina biomass in photobioreactor system (PBR). The results indicated that the optimal conditions for the growth of Spirulina in the photobioreactor system were: light intensity 850 lux, lighted duration 24h/24h, velocity in the range between 0.2 – 0.3m/s and the hydrodynamic regine for the above velocity compatible to Re value of 104-2.104.
