Abstract

Air pollution caused by transportation has become increasingly severe in densely populated cities in Vietnam. Electric motorcycles are regarded as an environmentally friendly alternative; however, the level of acceptance and adoption among residents in urban areas of the Mekong Delta remains lower than expected. This study aims to identify the influencers on  the intention to purchase electric motorcycles among residents of Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province. A survey was conducted, yielding 314 valid responses, which were subsequently analyzed using a linear regression model. The findings indicate that factors such as environmental awareness, attitude, subjective norms, and supportive policies have a positive influence on the intention to purchase electric motorcycles among local residents. Based on the results, the study proposes feasible solutions to enhance the adoption of electric motorcycles in the area, thereby contributing to green consumption and sustainable development.
