The current status of developing the management staff at preschool institutions in Dong Thap Province

Abstract
The development of preschool management staff plays a decisive role in ensuring the quality of early childhood education and effective school operation. This study examines the current status of management staff development in preschools in Dong Thap Province. A sociological survey combining questionnaires and interviews were conducted with 289 administrators and teachers from 14 preschools. The survey focuses on key aspects: planning and development of management staff; selection, appointment, dismissal, and rotation of managers; training and professional development to enhance managerial competence; inspection and evaluation based on standardized criteria; and the creation of a positive working environment to motivate professional growth. In addition, the study investigated working conditions that support motivation and maximize managerial capacity. The findings provide an empirical basis for proposing measures to develop preschool management staff, thereby contributing to the improvement of educational quality and childcare effectiveness.
