Hiệu quả của hoạt động cặp nhóm trong việc học kỹ năng nói tiếng Anh

Abstract
Pair work and group work are modern positive techniques in Communicative Language teaching and learning. Hence, they are especially important in English speaking skill learning since they can maximize the students’ talking time in class. This article aims to introduce the research findings of an experimental study on the effects of pair work and group work on training English speaking skill for first-year English majors at Dong Thap University focusing on class setting, monitoring class, organizing pairwork, groupwork in accordance with each type of speaking activity… The results show that new freshmen of English overcame their shyness and nervousness pretty well. In fact, they were more confident when speaking English in pairs or small groups. That resulted in better English speaking skill for students.
