Solutions to Training English essay writing skills for the English majors at Dong Thap University

Abstract
Among the four basic English skills, writing is not only an important but also an essential skill to create the communicative linguistic products. English essays are indispensable products in the learning and practicing writing skills process of English majors. This paper aims to analyze the reality of their English essay writing; thereby proposes some solutions to improve these writing skills for second-year English majors, Faculty of Foreign Language Teacher Education, Dong Thap University.
