Producing organic manure by aerobic compost

Abstract

The settled sludge from waste water treatment plant was collected and treated by aerobic composting method. The experiment had three treatments of C/N=25/1, C/N=30/1 and C/N=35/1, with three replications. Organic matters were degraded completely about 28 days and waste dump temperature was from 29 to 44.10C; organic nitrogen was 2.83 – 3.5%, while total phosphor was 1.68 – 2.1 %P2O5. Aerobic composting method took short time and organic matter can be used in agriculture. The C/N=30/1 was most suitable to treat organic waste.
