Abstract

This paper describes tadpoles of Rhacophorus kio Ohler & Delorme, 2006 based on 124 specimens of tadpoles collected in Pu Huong Natural Reserve (NR), Nghe An Province and one specimen of juvenile complete metamorphosis. The stages from 26 to 46 of tadpoles were described. Specimens described were taken from two egg-laying nests of Rhacophorus kio adults after the sample fertilization. Rhacophorus kio have typical tooth structure of I(4+4)/III. The paper also provides the first data on their shapes and color changes from metamorphosed to adult stages of Rhacophorus kio in Vietnam.
