Internationalization of education: Benefits,
global experiences and solutions to enhance its implementation effectiveness in Vietnam

Abstract
Education internationalization is imperative in the context of globalization, it brings numerous benefits to individual development and enhances national competitiveness. For this reason, developed countries worldwide have defined strategies and invested to promote the internationalization. By using secondary data, this article analyzes the benefits of this trend at higher education and the successful implementation in specific countries. From these experiences, the article proposes administrative solutions to enhance the internationalization of education in Vietnam, including: a strong legal framework for international cooperation and investment in education, developing a stage-by-stage internationalization strategy for education, improving the quality assurance system for programs related to internationalization, developing internationalization services, and building an international ecosystem in educational institutions.
