Originality in the vietnamese translation of “the thorn birds” in terms of rhetorical devices
Main Article Content
Abstract
Readers can approach a foreign literary work through its original or translation version. The translation is not only the key opening the door for readers to approach the work, but also the reconstruction of the original by the translator in principle: maximally preserving the spirit and value of the work as well as translating it creatively in a reading-specific way. In this article, we try to bring out originalities in the Vietnamese translation version of the novel "The Thorn Birds" translated by Pham Manh Hung in terms of rhetorical devices.
