Training human resources for Southern Khmer’s traditional theatre
Main Article Content
Abstract
Robam and Duke, two special, unique theater forms of Southern Khmer people, play an important role in their spiritual life in this region. Currently, like other Vietnamese traditional theaters, Robam and Duke are at the risk of gradual extinction. To strongly sustain these two theater forms of national heritage, it is essential to educate human resources who are well-trained, committed, qualified, enabled to preserve and bring into play the nation’s traditional values. This article presents some ideas of training the human resource for Duke in particular, and Southern Khmer’s traditional theatre in general.
