Current management of life skills education for primary school students in Tan Thanh district, Long An province

Abstract
Life skills are essential competencies that enable students to effectively cope with real-life situations while actively applying the knowledge they have acquired in practical contexts. However, life skills education has not yet received adequate attention in many primary schools. This article presents the results of a survey on the current state of life skills education management for students at primary schools in Tan Thanh District, Long An Province. The study involved 296 participants, including school administrators and teachers from 10 primary schools in the district. Data were collected using questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and statistical analysis. The questionnaire data were processed on a 5-point Likert scale. Meanwhile, interview results were coded for qualitative analysis, and Excel software was used to calculate average scores and rankings. The research findings indicate that the management of life skills education in the surveyed schools is still limited in areas such as planning, implementation, direction, supervision, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders. These findings provide a critical basis for school principals to propose appropriate management solutions, thereby contributing to improving the overall quality of education for students.
