Current situation of managing moral education activities for students in high schools in Kien Hai Special Zone, An Giang Province

Abstract
This study aims to examine the current management of moral education activities for students in high schools in the Kien Hai Special Zone, An Giang province, thereby establishing a practical basis for improving the effectiveness of character education in the current context. A mixed research method was used with a survey sample of 90 subjects, including administrators and teachers, using questionnaires with a 4-point Likert scale, combined with in-depth interviews to clarify qualitative aspects. The results show that the management of moral education activities is implemented relatively synchronously and is rated as fairly good in terms of: planning, organization, direction, inspection and evaluation, and coordination of educational forces. However, some limitations remain in mobilizing social forces, innovating forms of moral education, fostering moral education capacity among teachers, and using assessment results to adjust educational activities. Thus, the research results provide a practical basis for improving the effectiveness of managing moral education activities for high school students in areas with specific socio-economic conditions.
