Management of teaching method innovation in NaturalScience at lower secondary schools in Tan Son Nhi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

 This study examines the current state and proposes management measures to innovate Natural Science teaching methods at lower secondary schools in Tan Son Nhi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The study employed a questionnaire survey combined with interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that the innovation of teaching methods and their management have been implemented at a high level. However, several limitations were identified, including teachers' limited proactive participation, insufficient experience-sharing activities, inspection and evaluation criteria that require further improvement, and inadequate supporting conditions. Thereby, six management measures are proposed, focusing on planning, implementation, instructional leadership, inspection and evaluation, strengthening supporting conditions, and motivating teachers. The proposed measures contribute to improving the management of teaching method innovation, enhancing teaching quality, and supporting the effective implementation of the 2018 General Education Program.
