Abstract

This study examines the current state of management in child care and nurturing activities at preschools in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City. The research sample included 140 administrators and teachers, combined with in-depth interviews with 10 administrators and teachers and 7 parents. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative analysis (5-point Likert scale, processed using Excel) and qualitative analysis (interview data coding). The results indicate that administrators and teachers have a positive awareness of the importance of managing child care and nurturing, particularly in helping children adapt to daily routines and achieve the goals of early childhood education programs. While planning is generally adequate, it is limited in terms of defining implementation measures, mobilizing resources, and facilitating collective discussion. Organizational work shows clear task assignments and internal communication, but professional development and experience-sharing remain insufficient. School leadership provides clear guidance and effective collaboration with parents; however, monitoring, evaluation, and resource supplementation need improvement. Family–school–community collaboration is at a fairly average level. The study emphasizes the need to enhance management capacity, provide professional training, develop a dedicated monitoring team, and apply technology in supervision and communication to improve the quality of child care and nurturing.
