Developing students’ algorithmic thinking in teaching the topics of number sequences, additive progressions and multiplication progressions – Math 11

Abstract
In mathematics teaching, developing mathematical thinking in general and algorithmic thinking in particular is worth researching. Developing thinking contributes to successfully achieving the goals of the 2018 General Education Program. Algorithmic thinking not only helps students acquire knowledge effectively but also promotes operation reasoning such as: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, abstraction, etc. The study has proposed 5 measures to develop algorithmic thinking for students in teaching the topic "Sequences, arithmetic progressions and radicals. multiplier” (Math 11). These measures, if implemented flexibly and appropriately by teachers for each type of student, will improve the effectiveness of teaching the topic "Sequences, arithmetic and exponential progressions" as well as teaching Mathematics at high school.
