Management measures for self-evaluation in educational quality accreditation of preschools in Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the current situation and propose management measures for self-evaluation in the educational quality accreditation of preschools in Ninh Kieu Ward, Can Tho City. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 276 administrators and teachers using a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire combined with open-ended questions; the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation). The results indicate that self-evaluations have been relatively well implemented, reaching moderate to high levels in aspects such as staff awareness, implementation of standards, procedures, and supporting conditions. However, several limitations remain in management practices, including inconsistencies between public and private preschools, uneven competencies among staff, insufficient depth in monitoring and supervision, limited use of self-evaluation results for quality improvement, and inadequate supporting conditions. Based on these findings, the study proposes a system of management measures following management functions integrated with the PDCA cycle, including enhancing staff awareness and capacity; improving planning; strengthening organization, management, and coordination; promoting monitoring, supervision, and feedback; and ensuring effective use of support conditions. These measures contribute to improving the effectiveness of self-evaluation activities, fostering continuous quality improvement, and enhancing educational quality accreditation in early childhood education.
