Abstract

Teaching Vietnamese in the direction of developing communication capacity helps students to be able to fluently use skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening in communication activities. This is also an important and key orientation in the 2018 general education program at Primary level. Teaching sentences as smallest units is to provide students opportunities to make sentences in practical communication. Therefore, it is necessary to apply active teaching methods to train students how to make sentences, and combine words into sentence patterns to achieve the highest communication efficiency. This article presents the basic concept of teaching in the direction of developing communication capacity and the actual situation of teaching sentences. In particular, active teaching methods are suggested to teach sentences for 3rd grade students in the direction of developing communication ability.
