Creating 2nd-graders’ learning interest in teaching writing in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province

Abstract
Handwriting practice is one of the important contents in teaching Vietnamese at primary level. The Vietnamese textbook for grade 2 is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the 2018 General Education Literature Program, shifting from imparting knowledge to helping students form and comprehensively develop their qualities and abilities. However, in reality, many 2nd-graders’ handwriting is not beautiful, not in the right form, the connection between strokes and letters is not technically correct, not up to standard, writing speed is still slow, and so on. Some teachers have built lessons with many different methods but have not yet fully developed the students' abilities. Based on the relevant literature and a practical survey, the article proposes a number of measures to create interest in handwriting learning among 2nd-graders in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, in order to contribute to supporting teachers' teaching work, at the same time, helping students develop their own handwriting skills.
