Current management of moral education activities for primary school students in Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract
Moral education activities at the primary school level can achieve high educational effectiveness only when they are managed in a scientific and systematic manner. Therefore, this study is to assess the current status of managing moral education activities for primary school students in Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, based on key management functions, including planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring and evaluation. Data were collected from 32 school administrators and 108 teachers using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and analysis of activity products. The data were processed using a five-point Likert scale to calculate mean scores, standard deviations, and rankings. The results indicate that the majority of management activities were evaluated at a fairly good level; however, several aspects were rated only at an average level. The findings provide an important practical basis for proposing measures to enhance the effectiveness of managing moral education activities for primary school students in the context of current educational reforms.
