Measures to manage self-assessment activities in education quality accreditation of primary schools in Can Giuoc district, Long An province

Abstract
Self-assessment activities in education quality accreditation is to ensure and improve the quality of education in primary schools. This paper analyzes the current management practices of self-assessment activities in primary schools in Can Giuoc district, Long An province, focusing on administrators' and teachers' awareness, implementation processes, and influencing factors. The study reveals several limitations: a portion of administrators and teachers lack a comprehensive understanding of the objectives, content, and processes of self-assessment; collective school efforts are underutilized; planning and resource allocation are inconsistent; teaching facilities and equipment fail to meet current demands; collaboration between schools, families, and society is insufficient; and professional inspection lacks depth, resulting in incomplete adherence to evaluation criteria.
Accordingly, the paper proposes five management measures: Raising awareness among administrators and teachers regarding the roles, objectives, and content of self-assessment; Regularly and effectively implementing self-assessment activities in alignment with established standards; Directing evaluations of criteria with accuracy and relevance; Harnessing collective efforts within schools to foster consensus and coordination; Effectively leveraging external resources to enhance facilities and conditions for self-assessment. These measures aim to optimize the self-assessment effectiveness, foster continuous improvement in education quality, and contribute to the successful implementation of comprehensive education reform in the region.
