Measures to manage national cultural identity education activities for Khmer students in ethnic minority boarding schools in Soc Trang province

Abstract
The education of cultural identity for Khmer students in ethnic minority boarding schools plays a crucial role in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, contributing to the comprehensive development of students. This article analyzes the current state of organizing and managing these activities in schools in Soc Trang province. It highlighs key limitations such as: education plans incomprehensive due to a lack of specialized teachers and appropriate learning materials; inadequacies in educational organization, particularly in collaborating with cultural organizations and inviting artisans and experts to participate in teaching; unsynchronized direction, as the mobilization of external resources remains limited and management decentralization lacks specificity; incomplete inspection and assessment due to insufficient involvement of parents, students, and the community; and uneven resource management, with insufficient focus on cooperation with cultural agencies and artisans.
The article proposes management measures such as developing plans for Khmer cultural identity education, fostering teachers, organizing experiential activities, developing learning materials, strengthening cooperation with the community, creating policies to encourage students to preserve culture, conducting periodic inspections and evaluations, and applying digital technology in Khmer cultural identity education. These measures aim to enhance cultural education, preserve and promote Khmer cultural identity, and comprehensively develop students' competencies and qualities.
