Current experiential and career guidance activities in lower secondary schools in Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai City

Abstract
This article investigates current experiential and career guidance activities in six lower secondary schools in Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai City, involving 173 participants. The study evaluates these activities in terms of their objectives, content, implementation methods, resources, and assessment practices. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. Descriptive statistical analyses, including mean scores and standard deviations, were employed to examine the current situation. The findings indicate that experiential and career guidance activities have been implemented relatively systematically with considerable attention and achieved a fairly good level of performance. However, limitations remain in teachers’ capacity to design and organize activities, while community service and research-oriented activities have not been implemented effectively. In addition, instructional materials are not adequately aligned, and insufficient attention has been paid to feedback provision and student motivation following assessment. These findings provide an important basis for proposing measures to improve the quality of experiential and career guidance activities for lower secondary school students in Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai City.
