The current management of experiential and career guidance activities for lower secondary school students in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province

Abstract
Experiential and career-oriented activities at the lower secondary level primarily focus on community engagement, the natural environment, and career orientation. Through participation in these activities, students not only practice and enhance their life skills but also develop career orientations that align with their individual abilities, interests, and the demands of society. This study presents the current management of experiential and career-oriented activities for lower secondary school students in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province. A survey was conducted among 70 respondents, including 34 school administrators and 36 teachers from local lower secondary schools. The survey results indicate that although the implementation of experiential and career-oriented activities has achieved certain effectiveness, the outcomes remain limited. The main reasons include insufficient awareness among administrators, teachers, and other educational stakeholders regarding the significance of such activities; planning that does not fully reflect practical realities; a lack of guidance during the planning process; limited diversity in organizational forms; inflexible monitoring and evaluation practices; and weak coordination between internal and external educational forces. These findings serve as a basis for proposing solutions to improve the concerned management for lower secondary school students in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province
