Managing moral education activities for lower secondary school students in Son Qui Ward, Dong Thap Province

Abstract
Moral education for students is a core objective of Vietnam's education system and is emphasized in guiding documents of the Party and State. This study assesses the current state of managing moral education activities for students in junior high schools in Son Qui ward, Dong Thap province. The study uses a survey method combined with interviews; thus, a 5-point Likert questionnaire was administered to 60 administrators and teachers from two schools. The survey content focuses on management functions in organizing moral education activities, including: planning, organizing implementation, directing, and monitoring and evaluating. The results clearly show the strengths, limitations, and causes of current management practices; thereby providing a practical basis for proposing management measures to improve the effectiveness of moral education for junior high school students in the context of educational reform.
