Current management of local educational activities for primary school students in Thuong Tan Commune, Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract
The management of local educational activities is a systematic process of planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating to achieve predefined objectives. This study investigates the current management of local educational activities across primary schools in Thuong Tan Commune, Ho Chi Minh City. It employed a sample size of 31 administrators and 70 teachers, complemented by in-depth interviews with 8 selected managers and educators. The survey data were quantitatively analyzed using a 5-point Likert scale to calculate mean scores and standard deviations as a rigorous basis for evaluating the situation. The empirical findings indicate that the planning, organization, direction, monitoring, and evaluation of local educational activities for students have been implemented in a relatively synchronized and comprehensive manner, generally achieving a good level. Nevertheless, certain managerial aspects remain limited, performance only at an average level and thus requiring targeted improvements. The findings provide a practical basis for proposing management measures to enhance the quality of local education activities for primary school students in Thuong Tan Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
