Current status of managing life skills education activities for children in the Canh Dieu Tuoi Tho Private Kindergarten System in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract
For preschool children, life skills education is a process of purposeful and planned impact, equipping children with knowledge to help them form necessary life skills, appropriate to each stage of human development and the living environment. The study assessed the current status of life skills education management for children at the Canh Dieu Tuoi Tho Private Preschool System, Ho Chi Minh City. A survey was conducted among 90 managers and teachers of preschools in the System. The research results show that life skills education activities for children are suitable under the current educational innovation, demonstrating a very practical training plan. However, the coordination mechanism between relevant units and individuals managing life skills education activities for children has not been clearly specified. Thus, the coordination implementation is not really smooth and has not brought about efficiency. To continue promoting the strengths and overcoming the limitations and shortcomings mentioned in the current situation of the project, in terms of management, it is necessary to have more specific and complete measures to contribute to improving the quality of management of life skills education activities for children at this preschool system.
