The current status of managing experiential activities of primary school students in An Thanh Thuy Commune, Dong Thap Province

Abstract
Experiential activities constitute an essential component of primary education, contributing significantly to the comprehensive development of students under the 2018 General Education Program. Through experiential activities, students are fostered in terms of qualities, competencies, life skills, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-life situations. This study investigated the current status of managing experiential activities for students at three primary schools in An Thanh Thuy commune, Dong Thap province, namely An Thanh Thuy Primary School, Binh Phan Primary School, and Binh Phuc Nhut Primary School. A sociological survey was conducted among 90 administrators and teachers. The questionnaire was designed based on a four-level Likert scale, closely aligned with four core management functions: planning, organizing implementation, directing, and monitoring and evaluation. The findings highlight the achieved outcomes, existing limitations, and underlying causes in the management of experiential activities. Thereby, the study proposes management measures aimed at improving the effectiveness of organization and enhancing the quality of experiential activities for primary school students in the context of current educational reform.
